Congresswoman Jackie Speier Visits with SFSU Students at LPCH
Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-California) visited Stanford University on
September 3rd to see first-hand the simulation efforts going on there.
Speier's visit included discussions about the simulation programs and the research
these SFSU perinatal CNS students have been designing and implementing.
The simulation sessions include CHILD annual competency review for all nurses at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH),
LPCH nursing orientation, OB simulation, and Instructor Training programs.
Their work is being done at CAPE, the Center for Pediatric and Perinatal Education directed by Dr. Lou Halamek.
From left to right are Dr. Amy Nichols (SFSU SoN faculty), Sara Snyder, RN, Congresswoman Speier, Chynne Gregory,
