School of Nursing Class of 2016 Undergraduate Honoree
School of Nursing congratulates Kathleen McFaul, the Undergraduate honoree of the graduating class of 2016. Kathleen McFaul will be honored at the Undergraduate Honors Convocation on Thursday, May 26th.
Kathleen McFaul has demonstrated exceptional abilities in scholarship, as well as leadership and service during her tenure at SF State School of Nursing. Because of her academic achievement at SF State School of Nursing, Kathleen was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in December 2015.
As one of the NSA Skills Lab Volunteer Directors, Kathleen’s efforts organizing the check-off volunteers for the skills lab classes has contributed to the education of the entire nursing student body. Kathleen’s many volunteer hours working in the Flu Clinic at St. Vincent de Paul homeless center, preparing groceries for seniors with Meals on Wheels, and working in the Mother/Baby unit at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) demonstrates her compassion and giving spirit.
In addition to her volunteer hours and school responsibilities, Kathleen also works as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Unit Coordinator at CPMC. Kathleen is currently involved with the organization of the Hooding and Pinning Ceremony, which guarantees a successful event that we (the School of Nursing faculty and staff) look forward to attending.
